- There is a bug that can occurr with PKARC 3.5 when using some
- versions of MS-DOS 2.xx. This bug is only present with DOS version
- 2. All versions of DOS 3.xx work normally.
-
- Under DOS 2, if the current directory is the root directory of a
- drive, and a large file is archived, PKARC will abort with the
- error "Can't create ./$PKARC.CRN".
-
- This problem can be simply eliminated by using the PKARCTMP
- environment string to explicitly tell PKARC what drive/and or
- subdirectory to use for temporary files. To use the current drive,
- enter:
-
- SET PKARCTMP=/
-
- at the DOS command line. See the file PKARC.DOC for more
- information on the PKARCTMP environment variable.
